Cookie Policy
What cookies we use on tiltorbit.com, why we use them, and how you can stay in control.

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owner. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device and store some information about your preferences or past actions.
In addition to cookies, we and our service providers may use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage (for example, the browser's localStorage) to store small amounts of information on your device. In this Policy, we refer to all of these technologies collectively as "cookies". Cookies may be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. They may also be "first-party" cookies set by TiltOrbit or "third-party" cookies set by our service providers.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- make the Site function correctly and securely;
- remember your cookie consent preferences;
- understand how visitors find and use the Site so that we can improve it;
- measure the performance of our content and, where you consent, our marketing campaigns.
Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the Site cannot function properly without them. All other cookies — including analytics and marketing cookies — are only set after you give your consent through our cookie banner.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We group the cookies we use into three categories: Strictly Necessary, Analytics and Marketing. The table below lists representative examples of the cookies and similar technologies used in each category. Exact names and durations may vary as providers update their products.
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for the Site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences or filling in forms.
| Cookie / Category | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
tiltorbit_session |
TiltOrbit (first party) | Maintains your session state and keeps the Site secure while you browse. | Session |
tiltorbit_cookie_consent (stored in localStorage) |
TiltOrbit (first party) | Remembers your cookie consent choice (accept or decline) so the banner is not shown again. | Persistent (until cleared) |
Analytics
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the Site. They help us understand which pages are the most and least popular and how visitors move around the Site. All information collected is aggregated and, where possible, anonymised. These cookies are only set with your consent.
| Cookie / Category | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Web analytics provider (third party) | Distinguishes unique users to measure overall Site usage and trends. | 2 years |
_gid |
Web analytics provider (third party) | Distinguishes users over a short period to measure daily usage and behaviour. | 24 hours |
Marketing
These cookies may be set through the Site by our advertising partners. They are used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content on other sites, and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They do not directly store personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and device. These cookies are only set with your consent.
| Cookie / Category | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Ad platform pixel (e.g. _fbp) |
Advertising platform (third party) | Measures conversions and enables retargeting and audience building for advertising campaigns. | Up to 90 days |
| Ad platform conversion tag | Advertising platform (third party) | Attributes website actions to advertising campaigns to measure their effectiveness. | Up to 90 days |
4. Consent & Your Choices
When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner asks for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can choose to Accept all cookies or to Decline non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always set, as the Site cannot function without them.
Your choice is stored on your device in the browser's localStorage under the key tiltorbit_cookie_consent, so we can remember your preference on future visits. If you decline, only strictly necessary cookies will be used. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the stored preference (for example, by clearing your browser's site data for tiltorbit.com), which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit, allowing you to make a new choice.
5. How to Manage or Disable Cookies
In addition to our cookie banner, most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can usually set your browser to block or delete cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Site may not work properly.
Instructions for managing cookies are available in the help sections of the most common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Apple Safari: Preferences/Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
For mobile browsers, please refer to the settings within your device or browser app. You can also learn more about cookies and how to manage them at independent resources such as allaboutcookies.org.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally adopted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. We honour your cookie preferences as expressed through our cookie banner, and where your browser sends a recognised signal of objection to non-essential cookies, we will treat that as a decline of non-essential cookies where technically feasible.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy. Where required, we will ask for your consent again. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
8. Contact
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us. For more information about how we process personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
